Documentation is an essential part of healthcare, and unfortunately, clinicians are regularly interrupted while documenting, leading to distractions and documentation errors. According to research, 1 in 5 patients’ notes are inaccurate and contain errors.

Our updated notes feature helps clinicians deal with distractions and errors.  iUGO Notes allows you to add amendments to existing notes or save notes as a draft enabling you to edit them in the future, all while keeping them accessible to colleagues.  These features make it easier to step away from notes, knowing you can effortlessly jump right back in where you left off.

Our updated Notes features allow you to save notes in several formats, resulting in improved workflows. This update introduces a more comprehensive, clinically meaningful Notes area that will enable you to:

  • Add note amendments to existing notes
  • Save your note as a draft to continue working on it
  • Sign and Save your note when you are finished 

The option of returning to an existing note and adding supplemental information in the form of an amendment helps link ideas through threads. Threads and amendments help to ensure continuity of care by building relationships and clarifying concepts as clinicians develop them. Amendments also provide peace of mind while documenting, knowing that if you forget to enter an essential piece of information, you can easily add an amendment to your original note, keeping essential ideas together. 

Also, if you are unsure if you need to add more information to a note or get interrupted with an urgent matter while documenting, you can save the note as a draft. Saving the note as a draft allows you to maintain a connection to your care team, as they can still view your note while in draft form, but it provides you with the flexibility to leave your note open to editing until you are ready or able to complete it. 

These improvements make it easy for you to maintain organized, up-to-date, and easy-to-access accurate clinical notes that are available to all appropriate care providers, including external specialists.
